Robin Hunt featured In Learning Path from LinkedIn & Microsoft

LinkedIn partnered with Microsoft to release free access to eight learning paths and professional certificates for some of the most essential digital roles in today’s economy. The Global Skills Initiative is designed to be just that, as the training will be released all across the world. Robin’s courses have been translated into multiple languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Italian, Chinese, Turkish, German and Polish.

Through ThinkData, Robin has worked to develop problem-solving systems, automate processes, and provide valuable business intelligence to clients. Robin works to inspire people all over the world to consider data as their next play in technology. As of today, the company has reached close to 1.3 million students through its training courses.

Whether learners are just starting to explore opportunities or are ready to step into a new role, they can develop the skills they need to succeed with the new career essentials learning resources. These free resources from LinkedIn, Microsoft, and ThinkData are designed to help learners build their skills — so they can grow their career in the direction they want. As part of this initiative, these courses will be made available for free November 15, 2022, through December 31, 2025. Ms. Hunt will offer three training videos as part of the Career Essentials in Data Analysis path.

Introduction to Career Skills in Data Analytics: Are you ready to take the first step on your journey as a data analyst? Whatever your goals, you don’t need a background in computer science to get started. In this course, Robin gives you a comprehensive, behind-the-scenes look at what it’s really like to be a data analyst, from wielding data concepts and business intelligence skills, to landing your first role and advancing your career.

Learning Data Analytics: 1 Foundations: In this course, Robin brings you into the mind of an analyst. She defines and explains foundational concepts, such as how to think about data, how to work with others in different roles to get the data you need, and the tools you need to work with data, such as Excel and Microsoft Access. She introduces you to SQL queries, PowerBI, and more. Robin goes into syntax and explains how to interpret the data you see, find the data you need, and clean the data for effective data work.

Learning Data Analytics Part 2: Extending and Applying Core Knowledge: Robin shares practical skills to help you get the most from your data and jumpstart your career in data. Robin discusses business rules, filtering out the noise in the data we all deal with, and how to deliver what decision-makers want. She covers how to create data sets with queries, joins, and appends, then goes into building aggregate data with total queries. Robin goes over pivots, how to use pivots to build basic dashboards and visualizations, and how to use Power Query for data transformations. She concludes with best practices for meetings and taking your work to the next level for your organization.

To earn your Career Essentials Certificate by Microsoft and LinkedIn, students will have to complete all courses and content in this learning path. Take the final exam and pass. Once you pass, you will have immediate access to your certificate so that you can add it to your LinkedIn profile and share it with others.
