Social media when you lose a loved one

How to handle social media when you lose a loved one

I love social media, from the moment I realized what it could do for me to personally brand myself, I was a fan. At some point, the world caught on and very many of our friends, family, and children are growing into the platforms. For years, when a loved one or close friend has died – I had the awkward moment... Should I tell them they should memorialize the page? I send that awkward message, maybe it’s not awkward, but it feels like it to me. It’s hard enough to lose someone close, and we want to hold on to things that make them feel still close. The world is full of hackers – we must follow through so that we don’t deal with the aftermath of their accounts being hacked.
