Let’s start simple. What is reach? Do you remember playing the game ‘gossip’? You’d share a message and then it would be passed around the room. The last person stood up and shouted out what they heard? The "reach" is small and not very reliable messaging either.
Ok, the next game. Do you remember creating a mailing list? Just Christmas cards or invitations? You’d make the cards and send the cards out with a stamp. No one re-sent your cards, they probably called your mother and said they got one. So, you reached 1 person and then reached every person they told – which again reached your mother over and over again.
