Take a moment and read the names
I don’t imagine there will ever be a September 11th that I don’t remember exactly what I felt that morning. Watching it unfold and not understanding what I was seeing. I was 25 years old and couldn’t imagine what was happening and what it would mean for the future.
Today, 41, as I remember that day, it still feels like yesterday, even 16 years later. I watched a show that shared the voices of the people calling their loved ones. I immediately thought of the fact that some of those voices heard and unheard were my age at the time then and my age now. Nothing I can express can come close to the feelings of those who lost someone that day and in later days because of it.
